The Metamorphosis of Plants

This is Goethe’s classic book on the theory of metamorphosis, in which he considers plants in relation to their vital forces. He splits his theory broadly into two stages: vegetative growth and reproduction. He then relates each stage to the individual plant parts. The book includes an introduction by Rudolf Steiner, who sets Goethe’s theory in its historical context and encourages us to approach his ideas in new and thought-provoking ways.
